Last update / Bad day / MCU thoughts

I had a bad day yesterday, so, I took a day off from this project. That might not sound significant, but this project could have easily had the final update been released yesterday if I didn't decide "Screw finishing this, I'm taking the day off."

Ironically, while I was waiting for the builds for this project to be completed I saw headlines about how Disney is going to focus more on quality over quantity by reducing the amount of projects they put out. I mean, to me that seems like they have absolutely no idea what the problem with their movies even is, so it doesn't matter if they're giving the studios more time because, aside from some dodgy CGI, the movies look fine, the acting is fine, everything is fine except for the writing. Whether they make 100 movies a year or 1 movie every 10 years isn't the problem, the problem is that the writing tends to be bad in post-Endgame MCU projects because the writers who wrote Civil War, Infinity War, Iron Man, and other great MCU projects are gone, and the writers they have aren't even putting in the effort to properly connect the projects. But, instead of fixing those issues, they're saying "We're just going to release less projects," which sounds to me like Disney is basically saying "We're just not going to spend hundreds of millions on multiple streaming shows anymore because a lot of people hate them, but we'll still fund 3 movies a year," which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in me.

Anyways, this project was a fun one to work on, but it is by far my least popular project, which is something that has weighed on me as I was writing it, but I was committed to seeing it through to the end even though I knew that less than 10 people were even playing it.

I showed the ending to my brother-in-law who responded to it with "That looks like the best tattoo of 2015," and we joked about it. One of the things I said was "These things are cyclical, so it's possible that people in 2025 will think that the ending, and by extension the full game, is the coolest thing they've ever seen," which is far from the truth. This isn't going to be the next Undertale, but it might be the next Yandere Simulator.

Anyways, thank you for playing, I hope you appreciate this, and now I can move on to either focusing on Robot Kitty City or, more likely, working on a new, shorter game to de-stress. I was thinking of making Miltank Dating Simulator.

With Love,
